Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway has announced an audit of the Sugar Creek Municipal Court, which serves Clay and Jackson counties.
"Citizens deserve efficiency, transparency and accountability in their municipal court system," Auditor Galloway said. "This audit will provide a thorough review and make recommendations to improve court operations."
The Missouri State Auditor's Office is responsible for auditing the operations of municipal courts and divisions. The audit objectives are to evaluate the court's internal controls over financial transactions, compliance with the law and compliance with court rules.
