Auditor Galloway releases audit of Harris-Stowe State University

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (Feb. 14, 2019) State Auditor Nicole Galloway today released an audit of Harris-Stowe State University located in St. Louis. The audit was performed at the request of the  six-member Board of Regents.

Harris-Stowe State University was formed in 1954, when Harris (founded in 1857) and Stowe (founded in 1890) Teachers Colleges merged. The institution joined the state system of public higher education in 1978 and changed its name to Harris-Stowe State University in 2005. As of the fall of 2017, the university's full-time student enrollment totaled 1,253.
